This is a full-time role: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm.

About the role

Working across our portfolio of training programmes, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that quality, funding, and commercial course compliance meet internal and external requirements. With at least two years’ experience of working in a compliance, or quality improvement environment, you’ll also have sound knowledge of apprenticeships, working with regulatory/awarding bodies, safeguarding and welfare. 

Drawing upon your expertise and working closely with the Lead Quality Assurer and Funding Manager, you’ll be an integral part of the organisation’s quality cycle, ensuring funding processes, compliance and quality practices are highly effective. 

The main purpose of the role is to undertake compliance checks in line with awarding body and funding partners to ensure that internal processes and quality assurance interventions are recorded accurately so the impact is measurable across the breadth of our provision. You will be called upon to support the organisation’s stakeholder voice strategy, including welfare and learning support visits.

Day-to-day duties

  • Maintain appropriate records of quality assurance, assessment, intervention, registration, and certification activities in line with internal and external requirements. 
  • Ensure all assessment documentation, maintained by assessors and tutors, is complete, up to date, and legible. 
  • Conduct observations of invigilation to ensure we meet all conditions of fair assessment. 
  • Conduct welfare and support activities as part of our core delivery. 
  • Conduct learner, mentor, and employer interviews to monitor and analyse the quality of the learning and assessment cycle. 
  • Disseminate information resulting from intervention activities within agreed timescales. 
  • Ensure that completion of interim and summative sampling by IVs and QAs are aligned with organisational quality assurance policies and procedures. 
  • Working with the Group Head of Quality, update and maintain organisational policies and those required by external bodies i.e., awarding bodies. 
  • Analyse and utilise data relevant to the quality of teaching, learning, assessment, progress, and achievement to inform the SDS quality action plan (QAP), the English QIP, SDS self-assessment practice and GTG English SAR compilation. 
  • Follow internal policies, operating procedures, and documentation relevant to quality assurance practices. 
  • Undertake professional development activities. 
  • Value diversity and promote equality internally and externally. 
  • Engage in marketing activities with employers and the wider community in line with GTG strategies where relevant. 
  • Contribute to cross-GTG events. 
  • Adhere to GTG policies and procedures. 
  • Undertake any other duties that GTG considers appropriate. 

Essential skills

  • A good understanding of subject requirements for apprenticeships programmes 
  • Sound knowledge and experience of compliance, audit, and reporting 
  • Good standard of IT and administrative skills

  • A current full driving licence

  • Level 3 teaching qualification 
  • Level 3 IAG qualification 
  • Level 2 safeguarding qualification 
  • Internal quality assurance experience 
  • Knowledge or some experience of safeguarding and welfare for children, young, vulnerable, or protected adults 
  • Good presentation skills
