About the role
We are looking for an experienced Curriculum Developer to fill a brand-new position at GTG Training. Working across our funded and commercial programmes, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our learning and assessment practices meet all internal and external requirements. With recent experience of working within a curriculum writing or development role, you’ll also have an excellent understanding of sequencing learning for an engaging and inspiring learning journey. You’ll have working knowledge of gateways, end-point assessment, safeguarding, and AI inspired e-learning platforms.
This role will be responsible for the creation, implementation, impact, and integrity of GTG Training’s funded and commercial curricula. Drawing upon your expertise and working closely with the Head of Curriculum, you will be an integral part of our curriculum management and quality improvement cycle, ensuring any learning journey undertaken is highly effective.

Day-to-day duties
- Create and develop employer-led, funded, and commercial delivery models.
- Ensure curricula are sequenced effectively to meet the expectation of learning and achieve all methods of assessment.
- Ensure curricula includes measurable activities, as relevant to the needs of all stakeholders.
- Ensure curricula embeds relevant and measurable activities which promote positive behaviour and personal development.
- Ensure curricula includes high-quality careers’ information, advice, and guidance relevant to the learning journey.
- Ensure curricula embeds contextualised English and maths relative to each discipline.
- Ensure curricula includes effective blended learning techniques, utilising the latest educational technology.
- Adhere to external organisations’ expectations within any curricula, relating to EPA prerequisites, prior learning and or summative assessment practice.
- Create high-quality curriculum materials, including schemes of work, session plans, assessment, and learning materials.
- Create high-quality practitioner guidance, relevant to session plans, assessment, and learning materials.
- Ensure colleagues are regularly informed of any staff development needs based on curriculum content and changes.
- Deliver training and development to any relevant stakeholders relating to a material change of curricula.
- Undertake perpetual audit of delivery models, curriculum builds and content.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with sector experts
- Support colleagues to create engaging, bespoke employer-led programmes to meet their needs.
- Contribute to the quality improvement plan (QIP), ensuring actions are met as required.
- Participate in professional development activities.

Essential skills and qualifications
- Recent experience in curriculum development
- A strong understanding of apprenticeship standards
- A working understanding of the EIF
- A working understanding of safeguarding
- A working understanding of subject requirements for automotive programmes
- A working understanding of AI or e-learning technology
- A high standard of IT and administrative skills
- Ability to display initiative, positivity and enthusiasm
- Be flexible and responsive to employer needs

- Level 4 teaching qualification
- Recognised Assessor Award (D32, D33, TAQA or equivalent)

- Level 3 occupational qualification such as; light or heavy vehicle
- A current full driving license
