Hours

Full time: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm

About the role

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for growing a portfolio of customers, including both SME businesses and Levy clients. You will focus on expanding our existing client base and advising employers on available government funding and grants for skills development.

This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in account management, with a good understanding of apprenticeships and government-funded training, who excels in exceeding customer expectations and building long-term partnerships.

Day-to-day duties

  • Engage and secure new employer clients through cross-selling techniques.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of activities, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local, regional, and national skills agendas.
  • Manage a database of SME and Levy customers, identify opportunities to cross-sell additional training courses to existing employer accounts, maximising revenue and enhancing the range of services GTG Training offers.
  • Advise employers on available government funding and grants for skills development.
  • Source and grow Levy accounts by selling the complete range of apprenticeship and commercial training.
  • Promote GTG Training's products over the phone and via face-to-face visits with customers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.

Essential skills and experience

  • Strong B2B experience within the apprenticeship market and funded training sector
  • Good understanding of ESFA funding rules, Levy and grants available, eligibility requirements and apprenticeship standards
  • Highly organised and excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Competency in using Microsoft Excel and CRM systems
  • Team player
  • Be flexible and responsive to employer needs
  • The ability to use digital platforms independently and effectively, such as LinkedIn etc. as the role requires
