About the apprenticeship
GTG Training are recruiting for an Apprentice Autocare Technician on behalf of an independent garage. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are ready to advance their career within the automotive industry.
The Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and earn while they learn putting theory into practice within a training environment.
As well as attending the training centre for week block release of training, regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship.
What Might a Typical Day in this Job look like?
You will be based within the garage workshop and will be involved in learning all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.

Regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace with dedicated mentors from GTG and the apprentice’s workplace, which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship.
You will train through GTG Wolverhampton, by attending block release training weeks, to achieve Level 2 Autocare.
What qualifications or qualities are required?
GCSE Level or above in Maths, English
